What is an MPV?<\/h3>\n

Going by its moniker as a people carrier, the MPV or Multi-Purpose Vehicle, is a large passenger car.<\/p>\n

Usually, it is not known for its aesthetics \u2013 someone once described the MPV as looking like a cut-off loaf of bread. MPVs are designed to maximise as much interior space as possible for passengers and cargo.\u00a0 Often, this results in tall and box-like bodies (ergo<\/em>, the loaf of bread reference).<\/p>\n

Nowadays though, you can find MPVs of different shapes, sizes and styles. The BMW 218i Active Tourer<\/a> (pictured), for example, is a stylish compact MPV.<\/p>\n
