The new BMW 3 Series – Touring never looked so good

Time to head out.

Fans of BMW 3 Series now have a new model to explore. The BMW 330i Touring M Sport Pro, which has been launched in Singapore, is designed to take on a range of activities from weekend outings and shopping trips to cross-border family trips.

Packaged in this new body variant is a blend of versatility and innovative technologies presented in a sporty and confident look. The following are some of the highlights of the new BMW 3 Series Touring.

The exterior

The BMW 330i Touring M Sport Pro (the model available in Singapore) measures 4,713mm (L) x 1,827mm (W) x 1,440mm (H). With a generous 2,851mm wheelbase, there is ample space for all occupants.

Its adaptive LED headlights offers a range of functions, such as cornering light and non-dazzling matrix high beam. The outer daytime driving light elements double as turn indicators.

The M Sport Pro package, specified as standard in Singapore, includes an extended M high-gloss Shadowline trim and the signature BMW kidney grille with double bars in black.

You also get the M Sport brakes, including blue-painted callipers with the ‘M’ inscription, and which provide a sporty brake pedal feel. Also standard in the BMW 3 Series Touring are 18″ M light alloy wheels in the Double-spoke style 848 M Bicolour with mixed tyres.

The car is fitted with roof rails in high-gloss black.

The interior

Inside, what catches the eye is the futuristic BMW Curved Display, which comprises a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch central infotainment system. Standard in the BMW 330i Touring M Sport Pro is the full-colour Heads Up Display, which allows drivers to see important information in their line of sight.

There is a new cockpit design which leverages the Operating System 8. This allows more functions to be controlled by touch and voice control, for example, through the BMW Personal Assistant. The gearshift lever is now a modern toggle.

The BMW 3 Series Touring comes with Sensatec upholstery as standard, but you can choose Vernasca leather as an option. The front seats of the car can be adjusted electrically.

A main appeal of the BMW 330i Touring M Sport Pro is its functionality. Drivers who usually lug around a lot of stuff and those with families will appreciate its generous 500-litre luggage compartment. This can be expanded to 1,510 litres with the rear seat backrest fully folded down.

And if you just want to load or unload smaller items from the boot, you don’t have to open the entire rear hatch. There is a nifty separate luggage compartment window that you can use.

There is also the Reversing Assistant, which can reverse the car for distances of up to 50 metres along the same line it took when moving forward.
