Part of the appeal of this Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) lies in its strong good looks and progressive interior design coupled with a driver-focused cockpit that makes it easy to control the car. Then there are the little winning details that make the BMW X1 stand out even more from other cars in its segment.
Longer, wider, taller
The third model generation of the BMW X1 measures 4.5m by 1.85m by 1.64m (LxWxH), giving it a more powerful proportion. Among the standout features of the all-new BMW X1 is a long roofline, including roof rails, which presents a uniquely stretched silhouette. Approach your BMW X1 or lock the car doors and you would be greeted with a Welcome or Goodbye show projected by the headlights and rear lights.
Futuristic interior
The design changes to the all-new BMW X1 are even more evident in its interior. Other than the BMW Curved Display, the redesign includes an integral control panel, with embedded buttons for vehicle functions such as Start/Stop, audio volume control, hazard lights and the parking brake.
At the front of the centre console is a vertical smartphone tray that is secured by a movable clasp. Here, you can place your mobile phones upright for wireless charging and easy visibility.
The generous interior includes a rear compartment with three full-sized seats for greater comfort. These can be adjusted or folded down to expand the boot capacity from 540 litres to 1,600 litres.

Standard features galore
The new BMW X1 does not stinge when it comes to its standard equipment. You will find the BMW Maps navigation system, Comfort Access function, intelligent two-zone automatic climate control, and a rain sensor with automatic headlight activation included as part of the package.
There is also a significant number of driver assistance systems than the previous model. Among the standard equipment are the Cruise Control with brake function and the front-collision warning system. Also included is the Parking Assistant, which offers the Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant.
An especially useful feature is the exit warning function. This alerts the driver or passengers of approaching vehicles and cyclists, through an acoustic signal together with flashing LEDs in the mirror and ambient lighting system when opening doors.
